Here we can't net anything , nanny state now . Your a good example for teens here , I'm 62 and grew up on lighthouse stations , had Cray pots , and a smoker , you took me back 55 years in time , we did the mullet the exact same way , keep your traditions we've lost ours . ✌️♥️🇦🇺🇳🇿

Rub your brown sugar in after you've coated em will 🤘 let em rest for 30mins before you smoke em up breetha. Best stuff to use to smoke em is tee tree brush wood 👌 gives off alot of smoke and puts meannnnn flavour through them Always enjoy your vids, enjoy your smoked ika in white sauce 🫶

Hello my friend. You remember me my dear father in Brazil! He loved smoking mullet. The entire family was always gathered to appreciate the fish and the moments.!

Hats off, and thumbs up to you. The way you catch the mallet and smoke it minus the brown sugar is the same way we do it back home in the Northern province of Papua New Guinea.

Giday bud I've just found your channel and love the content...My Tongan mother inlaw who's unfortunately passed used to make rawfish using fresh mullet and it was awesome. Real easy recipe.Fillet and dice your fish. Lemon juice, spring onions,tomatoes and coconut cream. (Kara brand coconut cream is my preference) Refrigerate for an hour then demolish 😊

Does the black lining in body cavity create a bad flavor 12:03 ?
@colonelfustercluck48628 күн бұрын
no, no flavour or smell; it's just the lining to the gut cavity. On some fish it's clear or white (so you don't really notice it), on other fish it's black. You may be able to peel it off after cooking, but from memory it is pretty fragile.

@colonelfustercluck48628 күн бұрын
amateur fishing in NZ, no license required. But size limits and bag limits and the specifications for the nets must be as prescribed by law. And in some areas, no nets allowed. IN other areas, no problems.
