How to snap point features to a line feature using ArcMap

Nice tutorial, thanks. But it seems like this tool makes you lose some points of the shapefile. Take a look at the 4:00 minute, when you disable and enable the old shp to compare with the new. What to do with those missed points? Thank you.

Can this be done but have the points move at a specific azimuth for example right or left (90,270 or any azimuth specified) to nearest line?
