Great video and lesson! Would love to see a video going into soloing over the 4 and 5 chord :)

Thank you. An excellent lesson. Been playing the guitar for approximately 35 years but still cannot ' acquire a taste for the dominant chard sound, aside from using it as turnaround to the one chord. Love the groove and rhythm of the blues though. I play the blues with 1,4 and dominant 5 chord which I enjoy. Anyone feels the way I do. I know I am subconsciously seeking validation. Once again thank you for sharing with us.

Thank you very much! It's all good, everyone needs validation sometimes. 😁 Yeah, what you're describing is definitely another common way of playing a blues. Really glad you enjoyed the video, follow up coming soon...

Lean into the flat 5 ...its a delicious note and navigates from the cliche Blues

Yeah absolutely. I was going for a kind of "use with caution" approach for anyone who's still quite new to this sort of thing, but you most certainly could use it more extensively.
