I think it was a bit complex. I learnt to solve this cube on my own only using two algorithms . In my method only two steps are needed First step : make the white layer as shown in the vedio. Second step : rotate the top layer and match one corner with the bottom layer then check the others if they are aligned . If not aligned just perform this algorithm keeping the matched corner at right front side u r u' l' u r' u 'l till the pieces are aligned. While performing this algorithm you should see that only one piece is aligned else it doesn't works. After you align them just perform r' d' r d and you don't need to remember any cases too. It's really really easy for beginners. My record with this method is 17 seconds.
