I've seen you do this method a few times and when i saw the thumbnail i did it using the a and b subs. I got x = - 1, but wolfram alpha says there's another solution gotten from the cubic equation, using cardano method you get two complex solutions and a real one, if instead of a = 2 and x = - 1, you take the cardano solution, you get x = ~ -15

The kind of problem I enjoy the most . But I think you forgot to give the domain of x : x < or = than 15.
