One thing I did to teach my brother one to one for his Algebra 2 class is I gave him a problem like this 2^2x+4=2^x+3 To demonstrate why we can easily drop the base (2x+4)log2=(x+3)log2 Then we divided out log2 and got 2x+4=x-3 Did some basic algebra and got x=7.

2:35 he said it incorrectly, it’s supposed to be three *to the power* of 3x + 3, not three times 3x + 3. Because the viewer might mistaken it to be multiplication rather than powers.

9^2x-1= 3^3x+3 = 3^2(2x-1)=3^3x+3 4x-2=3x+3 , Answer x=5 substituting 5 in original equation gives 9^9=3^18 , 387,420,489 = 387,420,489

what happens if the number is not a perfect square such as 10? Also what happens if there is no way to get the same base? for example (-1/-60)^-7x=10^(16x-27) is the question i need help with.

if the base cannot be written as a power so you can apply the one-to-one property then you will need to use a calculator and logarithms
