This is really useful. A simple, straightforward, accurate refresher on stuff I learned (and promptly forgot) from school. One thing to note if anyone's using this for programming, your cos / sin / asin functions will probably want this in radians, so divide by 180 and multiply by pi when entering the parameter if you're working with degrees.

I cannot explain to you how much this video saved my life. I had an assignment for my geo class due tonight, and I had no idea how to do this one problem. I had all sides but I needed the angle. An hour of being in the brink of tears later, I find your video with my friend. We plug in our numbers, and we got it right!!! We are elated and so grateful that you decided to post this on KZbin. Thank you so much.

If you notice, when he does the difficult calculations which might require a calculator, he looks down subtly, which means he's already written down the answer, or has a calculator down off-screen.

Is there any way you could solve this problem algebraically? no calculator at all?
@gopan14526 жыл бұрын
no way, when using Sine or Cosine or Tangent you need a calculator; they are not numbers

Hi there, I know you are trying to discover sinB but why do you say you will multiply both sides by sinB and by sin21 degrees as well as dividing by 14 and then undertake a different equation of sinB=17sin21/14 What does inverse sine mean and why do we do it? How do we know when there may not be a second possible solution to an angle? Why would you begin finding the side of C using side and angle A rather than side and angle B? Thanks, J

You keep skipping a step, I cant understand how you make c=14sin133.2°. You wont show how you came to that process.
@MustafaAshique-UrRahman-g8j26 күн бұрын
In the previous eqn he multiplies sin133.8 on both sides. He writes the eqn as c = 14sin133.2/sin21
