EK questiion : hamare pass probability of solving de hi rkha hai ( 1/2, 1/3,1/4) tho hamne inko Multiply kr ke "probability of solving question" kyu nahi nikala? Why we have to calculate "Not" first ? Kyu ki question khe tho rha hai ki "chances of solving is 1/2, 1/3, 1/4)" tho ham inko multiply kr ke "probability of solving " kyu nahi maan saket? PROBLEM ONE TIPS: Multiplying probabilities is valid when looking for all events happening simultaneously. If we multiplied the probability of 3 students solving the questions we will get the probability of when 3 students all solve the problem at same time. that's the reason we don't multiply them instead we solve the problem by 1- PROBABILITY OF NOT SOLVING THE PROBLEM

Doubt clear: dosto jo probability puchi gayi hai vo puchi gai hai problem solve hone ki na ki teen baar solve hone ki isliye hum multiply nahi karte given probabilities ko. Agar apko pucha hota ki "what is the probability of the students solve the problem" then it should be multiply given probability. Because here we have to find the probability of atleast one student solving the problem , and if we multiply the probability of all the students solving the problem it will give us the combined probability of all the students solving the problem , which isn't asked in question
