Another way of checking is to note that the domain is x greater than 4. 4 not greater than 3/2. Therefore no solution.

The square root of 25/4 is 5/2. The opposite of square root of 25/4 is -5/2. Both 5/2 and -5/2 are solutions of x squared equals 25/4.
