For those of you wondering about the cube: I have 2 Yuexiao Pro cubes that I have no use for, so I peeled the stickers off one of them. Anytime I need specific pieces (like in my ZZ tutorial too) then I just swap out black pieces for stickered pieces.

Thank you very much for giving deeper insight on cross-building, there were a few tricks that I hadn't thought about applying such as attempting to make your first move a U or D move and refraining from leaving the cross on the bottom during your first few moves if it'll leave you with more favorable turns. Also that cross-only cube is such a big mood, I used to have an old Rubik's brand cube that I peeled all the stickers off of except for F2L pieces, heh.
@error54873 жыл бұрын
8:18 For this cross I insert green and blue while inserting red. Facing blue, (U2 D) L R' (F B') U' L2 For U2 D I do U2 with my right hand and D with my left hand. I also have a question how to take the most advantage of color neutrality because I often see myself spending a lot of time choosing in which color should I do. Btw really useful video
@JPerm5 жыл бұрын
For color neutrality you should focus on colors that have the most cross pieces attached to the center, like a red edge touching the red center. I go over this a bit in color neutral example solves. This usually reveals one of the best crosses, and makes first pair tracking a lot easier.

Summary of video: What side to face, depending on how much regrips there are and how efficient it is(is it finger trickable). Saving regrips is finding solutions that have less regrips(make you change your current hand position or grip). The first move of the cross is usually slower when you do b and f when you lift the cube because it has a regrip at the start which slows down your momentum. If there is only pieces in bottom layer you can just fix it by using replacement technique or other advanced cross techniques. You also avoid B moves in solve and if there is no option then try to do a R or L moves to setup to a B move to speed up the cross without regrips. If you want to start the solve with F/B moves face the white side and do the solution which helps minimize regrips. A common mistake for cubers is to trying to avoid b moves when there is a lot of pieces in one side instead you can minimize effect of B move by setting it up using R or L moves. Go over mulitple options to solve a cross to help solve efficiently like changing sides or moving different pieces. Lastly, use the replacement technique which is just replacing a unnecessary piece with a needed piece and put the un-needed piece into the cross at the end of the cross solve. I hope you found this summary useful!
