On my OnePlus T5, it's called "OTG STORAGE" and it automatically turns off after 10 minutes of inactivity. I think that's why people are finding that it feels like it has to be re-setup every time we need to use it. Thanks although it didn't work for me, BUT i will tell you what worked! simply connect your Phone to the Drive through OTG, then just WAIT! it might take a minute or two but it will eventually recognize the device and show up! i know it seems simple but trust me i had the same issue on all my android devices. I don't know about your phone, but on mine the USB STORAGE/CONNECTION has a built in shut off after 10 minutes of not transferring data. It might be your issue too. I use mine to connect to my printer so unless I'm sitting there sending document after document I have to go back into the phone settings to re-enable the OTG connection.

i must have malware on my phone that is causing files to take forever to transfer from my phone to my flash drive. It took like 8 minutes last night to transfer a 500MB file to my flash drive. I have the same issue. I was researching to find some information and came across your video. I have the same Google Pixel 6 pro And I'm trying to connect an OGT cable to an audio device Via USB and my charger cable to the phone. However, the USB works fine but the charger port is not charging at the same time. I previously had a Pixel 2 and it worked fine and now all the sudden with the pixel 6. You can't do both at the same time which is weird. However, if you know of any special OTG cables that will work, let me know. Or if there's something that I need to change in the settings that will help support both the USB and charging your phone at the same time while connected to an audio device. I think my next solution might be one of the usb c powered hubs. Couldn't find anything online about my issue so hope this helps guide someone having this issue to some fix.

I have the issue of not seeing two devices at the same time on pixel 7a. With exactly the same cabels and devices my friend can see them both (ssd and sd card) on his samsung s23. It sucks, cause I cant do the direct back up of the sd card to ssd like he can. It's 2023 why cant they just get these to work escpecially on googles own phones so weird. USB controlled by Connected device and cant be changed to This device. Help please. I pluged to my phone its charger. Just the charges, same cable same adapter same plug (socket) as always. I let it charge through night as most of the time. So it cant be bcs of cable. However my phone did fall this night. Is possible tha fall could cause this. I switcjed on my phone and there was this black screen with yellow and purple. Two options in chinese (I guess, or japanese, or korean... Idk) and in english text OTG test fail! I wanted to switch it off but that action chose one of the options which I didn't intended. Then there was only the characters (chinese or other) which I couldn't read and translator couldn't translate cause I have circle edges, so the text starts before edges and finishes behind them. On this screen I cant do nothing. None of the button do anything and touch Ing screen does also nothing. Mom told me it is a COMPLETE restart??! Is it true? That cant happen! I have there things I never put anywhere else. I can't lose them. This phone is so much precious to me. I valie it so much I dont take it outside and I dont call through it. Please what does this OTG test fail mean. How can I fix it.
