Thanks. Is there an option to center each image to fit the very center of thee cell where it sits on?
@YAcostaSolutions2 жыл бұрын
Hi, Milan. Thanks for your question. There's not a great option. If your images are listed vertically, like in the video, do the best that you can getting them in the middle of each cell, then, in the Picture Format tab, in the Arrange section, click on Align Center. This aligns the images to each other, but helps in making them look neater. Also, if you can set your image and cell size to similar dimensions, that will help too. Thanks and hope this was of some help.

@@YAcostaSolutions Hi, and thanks for the reply. In the meantime, I searched for a solution. As a perfectionist, I wanted to "know" that my images are perfectly centered, and I have found a pretty nice solution. Basically, first I made the required cells to be the exact size in the prefect 2:3 ratio (just used the pixel ruler and created, in my case, 120x180 cells (perfect 2:3 ratio). Then I found a simple 4 line code that aligns my 200x300 pixel pictures (again 2:3 ratio) in the whole column perfectly! Very proud of the whole process!

hi, what formula u use for the copy of the data
@YAcostaSolutions4 жыл бұрын
Hello, Abdul. Do you mean when I filled in the "Headshot" column? If so, that autofilled once I referenced the first cell. This happens because when a Table is created in Excel, a name is auto assigned to the Table and each of its column headers. This makes creating cell references and formulas with the Table data a bit easier. I hope this makes sense. Please let me know if you have more questions.

Hi, My pictures are sorting accordingly but the pictures snap out of the cells when I sort them? All my cell size and image size are same and aligned
@donpincott3824 жыл бұрын
Do you know if this works with Advanced Filtering? (and Outlook 2013) - so far the pictures are not coming through.
@YAcostaSolutions4 жыл бұрын
Hi, Don. Unfortunately, no. If you use the advanced filter on the original range it will filter the pictures. However, if you're copying it to another location, the images won't travel with the results. Sorry to not have a better answer for you, but great question!

@@YAcostaSolutions Hello Yacosta. Correct, lazy Microsoft! - but there is a way using Excel Macros Ensure that all the pictures are locked in their cells, then run this macro (using a macro button on the worksheet). It creates a shopping list on a second worksheet (complete with embedded pictures against each product) from a master list of products (including the headers) in columns A1:L1 on the first worksheet where the filter criteria is stored in N1:N2 (i.e. Order Qty > 0) : Sub FilterShoppingList() Sheets("Master List").Range("A1:L1") _ .CurrentRegion.AdvancedFilter _ Action:=xlFilterCopy, _ CriteriaRange:=Sheets("Master List") _ .Range("N1:N2"), _ CopyToRange:=Sheets("Shopping List") _ .Range("A2:L2"), _ Unique:=False End Sub Microsoft Excel's old "Advanced Filter" needs to be rewritten to take advantage of their own newer macro functionality. Also, another tip that took quite some finding - If you want to filter JUST text to a new worksheet, that also works with the regular Microsoft Filter, but you need to set the filter up on the second worksheet, not the first. Using the first will just provoke Microsoft into a message that it can only do so to the "Active Sheet". Next task is to add the functionality to this macro to also lock the pictures first, then sort the data on certain columns (like aisle), then run the filter & copy routine above. Cheers Don

my images are still getting messed up when I filter based on name, or age or any other column heading. I don't understand why it wont work the only think that i could not figure out is the equation you put behind each photo.

I have multiple pictures of varying sizes that I want to sort. However, whenever I sort them, the adjusted box sizes stay in place while the images move to where they're supposed to go and some clip outside of the boundaries. How can I make it so that the adjusted boxes move with the various images?
@YAcostaSolutions4 жыл бұрын
Hi, Frostflame. It really works best if the images are of the same size. Otherwise, when you sort, the cell size stays with the cell location, not with the cell label (as you're finding out). There's an option to crop by aspect ratio (under Picture formatting / in the Size section). Cropping the images to the same ratio can help you when you try to resize them. In the tutorial, I resize them at about the 30 second mark, if you want to see that again. I hope this helps.

Hi, Danielle. Double-check a couple of things: Are your pictures all lined up and sized to be just a notch smaller than the cells? And are all the cells the same size? Did you select "Move and Size with Cells" under the Properties for the pictures? Please let me know if you're still having troubles? Thanks

@@YAcostaSolutions What if they are not all the same size/shape? I'm making a plant database and not all of them can be cropped the same shape (some are horizontal/landscape, and others portrait).

You didn't finish your video, you did not filter. If you filter all the photos lump on top of each other in no specific order.
