Is there a way to sort while applying filter?? I ask this because say in your scenario 1 there is no bronze winner then you'll only be sorting gold and silver but in second scenario when u run u have 3 winners-gold silver broze ull have to sort it this time for bronze too.. Now I have a large set of data so manually doing it is taking very long plus in NY scenario one I have missing segments (eg-bronze )

Damn, Tableau really is hot trash. Every other BI tool makes this trivial, but the third-rate Tableau 'engineers' can't get this working after years of complaints.
