Awesome stuff. I have been looking for videos like this and thank you so much for making them. And even better, doing it on Vital, which is free, basically means we can follow along. Bravo dude. Really wonderful stuff. I do have one question. Why not use an Envelope instead of a LFO when you're anyway going to use it in Envelope mode? Like any benefits to using the LFO in Envelope mode vs one of the Envelopes?
@NGTVST2 жыл бұрын
Thanks. :) As for your question: with envelopes you are typically limited to the ADSR controls, while most DAWs allow you to create much more complex shapes with LFOs. Additionally, if you have to synchronise the timing of different patterns, this is also much easier with LFOs.
@5ammy132 жыл бұрын
@@NGTVST ah okay yeah makes sense. Thank you for that answer 😁 I've been using presets my whole life and only how am I appreciating the process of creating your own sounds, all thanks to the you 😁 keep up the awesome work 😀

Hello Would you do a video on how to reproduce the beam style bass on the song “ lost it” by ZHU? Even better the whole song.
@josephlandman14024 ай бұрын
This is brutal! If you want to have the impact separated from the mids and highs from the ( the stereo sound) the process would be different? Other thing is I've noticed the sound goes stereo and if you could have control the stereo and panning inside vital if you wanted to make it wider?
@NGTVST4 ай бұрын
You could use the "punch" lfo/ envelope on only one of the oscillators and route it to the direct out so that it's not affected by any of the effects. However, I wouldn't just limit myself to one patch - optimally you will probably use a second instance of Vital to create the punch sound you like and another one to create the braam sound. This gives you a lot more flexibility and doesn't need as much fine tuning as doing it all in one patch. Regarding stereo (if I understand your question correctly) you could use an envelope on the unison of the oscillators to make the sound more stereo as it progresses (or the other way around). Doing it with the effects, you could also use the delay and make use of the Haas effect and automate that. I hope this helps. :)

I followed everything here until the voice transpose thing, I did the same thing as you but mine doesn't change the pitch when I move the Macro 1 knob.
@NGTVST Жыл бұрын
Did you maybe forget to set the amount in the matrix?
@mean_ice2833 Жыл бұрын
@@NGTVST Oh I also did that already but I eventually found the culprit while fiddling around. The small knob below the Macro 1 knob (the one that is supposed to be controlling the LFO) was bypassed thats why I'm not hearing any changes.

whats the reason for making
@NGTVST Жыл бұрын
It's typically done to avoid phase issues in the low-end in case your mix is played in mono; our ears also aren't that great at working with stereo information on lower frequencies, so having the bass in stereo/ wide doesn't really add a lot of useful information and might cause problems instead.
