How to Sow Garlic for Maximum Yield

It's that time of year again! The normal growing season is all but over and while we are all mostly consumed with tidying up the garden and getting it "put to bed" for Winter, there is a very important planting job still to do... sowing your garlic cloves for next Summer's harvest. It is very important to sow your garlic in the Autumn, as it needs the Winter cold to trigger of its important growing processes. Join me as I show you how I plant my garlic for maximum yield.

I add 1 tbsp of bonemeal in the hole with the garlic clove when I plant :) Thanks for the video! Cheers.

I took some Russian classes in college. they call the individual garlic parts Tigers teeth

Good to see you Steve :) Someone told me years ago that garlic can be planted around roses, keeps the greenfly off the roses & intensifies their scent, the roses in turn intensify the flavour of the garlic. Also Garlic is a companion plant to Stawberries, brassicas, carrots, tomatoes & lettuce :)

@TheOptimisticGardener Maybe try small plant in the Glarlic bed, in Mrs F's favourite colour? Afterall It has 2 chances, fingers crossed will do very well :)
