Interesting. One of the things I regret is not completing my training with my then Hausa language tutor from Kano, whose name is Kano too. He would teach me how to write and pronounce, the genders etc.

I had the absolute wonderful opportunity of living the cool green plateau states of Jos for 3 months in '03 and now I can learn Hausa and return there for my 50th birthday! I still dream of jollof rice and suya.

I won't lie, hausa is sexy right from the time. Hausa accenr sef with English is fire! Wish I really learned it when I had the opportunity. Sannu da aiki Jane and Dinchi. And I used to know someone named Godiya, now I know the meaning, it makes the name more lovely. Nagode for this lesson
