Perfect, finished the quests and started doing dungeons but wasn't sure if I was meant to be doing something else or if I'd missed clicking on a story quest somewhere

Made a ranger and got 35 in 2 days and fatigued myself. Made a specter for the event and it feels like a lot of damage for melee. It's also my first time in a really long time playing dfo but it feels rather smooth. I just have to get used to commands. Good vid

Pardon the wall of text, but just started playing the game a week or two ago (DNF Duel piqued my interest lol) and stumbled upon your channel when looking for some guides. I'm having some trouble getting gear to drop when I play on my Spectre. I seem to just have terrible luck for something dropping in each dungeon run I do. Sadly it's made it so I ended up being underpowered I think each time I reach a new Optimal level :c (still watching the video) omg that link will be so helpful. I was trying to figure out where I could get stuff... not that I understand what any of that stuff actually means. But nice to know where to go for specific drops. I had no idea about the Fragmented Abyss equipment being able to go over what you're currently using. I feel dumb selling my previous shoulders now when I could have had them + the Fragmented Abyss ones I'm now using. I'm assuming I'm understanding this correctly lol. My Spectre is just level 88 as of today (sort of palying off and on, and sometimes dedicated my short amount of time I play per day to my Mistress as well cuz I really like her). I'll worry about all that spooky level 100 stuff later lol, but nice to have a guide for future reference. It's the last week of the event I think??? Sooo I'm a bit late to the party :v but nice to have this info for the remnant. One thing I'd like to know which is unrelated to the Spectre Event... if I wish to spend next to no money, are there alternatives to real money to buy character slots and costumes for your classes? I'm kind of sad (actually... really sad lol) that we get no visual differentiation between classes unless you buy their "The Awakened Ones" costume pack. I've seen some listed in the Search Bar in the Auction House, but when I hit search nothing shows up. Character Slots I'm just curious about, because I'd LOVE to just try all the classes that interest me out. I fear that 24 slots won't be enough though. Like... I like the look of all 4 Rogues and Demonic Lancers, and even all 4 of the Female Slayers. Each class has a sub-class I want to try out for a long amount of time, but I fear not having enough space. Plus I still need to unlock the Dark Knight and Creator so, no idea how I feel about them yet either lol. ANYWAY... thanks for the guide. I'll prolly stick around the channel and see what pops up since I'm just getting into the game. Play it more casually since I'm juggling it with school and FFXIV (and a bunch of other games I sadly neglect lol...), but having a channel to follow with all kinds of guides is a nice option to have.

Welcome! and no problem at all ill go from order to your questions. Id def prioritize spectre cause you are right there is a week left. A good amount of time to complete it maybe not perfectly. Yes there is many alternatives for the avatars you can buy them with gold/trades/avatar market and some temp/perm(specfic) ones with Milage. I think the awakened one is a special case or I just dont know its name unfortunately but most sets has been purchasable with gold. On AH for the packages make sure to type the look name it has, example "Monster cosplay package (Look)" etc for shop items. As for the slots DFO gives you ways of increasing that amount really easily with there consistent events and rewards by just playing you're able to passively get rewards and cosmetics. @@Medrathis Thanks for the info :> I've gone and followed you on Twitch so I'll prolly try to catch a stream here and there (or VoD if those exist). My Spectre is at lvl 98 and I've been getting some gear drops letting me just steamroll dungeons now. Feels great lol. I'd have kept going if I didn't run out of FP for the day, but oh well. The Avatars I am most interested in are the ones you see specifically on the DFO site under Character Info. DNF Duel has also made me really interested in getting some of the costumes, like Dragon Knight just looks so cool. I'd love her 1st Awakening Costume in game. I don't know if they've made Neo Awakening Avatars yet, but I'd die for Necromancer's one lol. There's so many cool looks for the classes on the character page. I've admitedly picked some classes so far just based off how they look (and then am often pleasantly surprised by how they play when testing them in Character Creation). I'm still a little confused on how it all works, but I'm sure I'll figure it out in time. I cannot hope to afford anything I'm seeing on the AH for now lol. I guess the Awakening costumes cycle in and out of the DFO store? Unless I'm misunderstanding things I'm reading on here. Sorry if I am asking the same questions again with any of this by the way ^ ^; Actually, I just got an Avatar look of some kind today with one of the Login campaigns (Seria's Greeting I think. The "Welcome Back Avatar Chest" on my Mistress). Not quite the look I'm going for, but it's nice to have some variety now. I didn't realize you could mix and match pieces, although I guess I should have clued in when browsing the Cera Shop. Really happy to hear we can get free slots (and other things) from just playing. I checked how expensive the slots were since I posted my initial comment and they don't seem too expensive, so that's nice. I guess I won't worry about them too much. But thank you again for all of the information :> I may take a jump into the Discord. It'd be nice having somewhere to ask some questions (despite my walls of text, I am normally a very quiet person ^ ^; but I will be brave and ask more questions if I have any). I'll try to avoid throwing too many convoluted walls of text though lol.

Yes so the dog will take some time to get as you level in your spectre pass you'll receive it as a reward

So with spectre event ending, Id say pick a class you enjoy. Specre is still a really good class but with it being the same lvling process anything you enjoy is viable there is a NEW lvling event happening right now for you to pick something

Not sure if it's a bug but specter gear stopped dropping for me. Maybe because I'm using a rental weapon??

That definetly should not be happening what lvl are? you can only get Spectre gear in the Spectre zone.

ofc one of the solid 3-3-3-2 sets for Spectre right now is 3pc Reverse fate(Mythic), 3pc DimTraveler, 3p Tropica, 2pc Black Magic Researcher. With Taji weapon.

For the most part yes the game has solo modes too help if you just wanna casually raid and still get materials. Story will be solid to follow. Gearing is a little difficult with the current events ending but new ones are coming out!
