Planning a trip to Iceland in a few months so this is incredibly helpful, thanks so much for making this vid

Of course! This was my first international trip and found it pretty easy to travel to. Let me know how it goes or if have any questions!

Fantastic vlog and you got to see some fantastic places. However in 7 days you could’ve seen so much more…….then again you can always go back again😉. I’ve visited 7 times and heading there again in 3 weeks time. My favourite country 🇮🇸❤️
@tim.muangkeo8 ай бұрын
Definitely! I was actually afraid I didn't have enough time and rushed my way around the Ring Road. For example, I had Landmannalaugar on the itinerary but wasn't sure how far back it would set me. Will 100% go back again

Nice! Hopefully you get some lava flowing during that time! That was one thing I didn't get to see.

When is the best time to travel? For good weather and northern light? Also your video is amazing
@tim.muangkeo3 ай бұрын
Thanks! I would say September - October. It's not too cold, it gets dark enough to see the northern lights, and a lot of the trails are still open.

Very informative. Thank you for the tips and info. We are headed there at the end of the month. We will be there for 13 days. If you had a few extra days, how would you spend them? Thanks!

Thanks! I'd probably make an effort to explore the interior of Iceland such as Landmannalaugar and Sigöldugljúfur. Haifoss is a good one as well

Thank you so much for sharing these valuable infos. I am planning to visit Iceland this summer, working while traveling. My first concern is probably the signal, as I need to work async with US hours, slight video calling maybe. Do the campgrounds generally have good signals? Or even provide wifi? Thanks
@tim.muangkeo6 ай бұрын
They do! I actually was in the same situation. Most campsites (if not all) I was in had signal where I could use my hotspot and get online.

Thanks for the lovely video. Do you have the breakdown of how much you drove per day?
@tim.muangkeo Жыл бұрын
Thanks! An estimate varies per day and which part of the island you are in. Day 1: about 145 miles (mainly from the airport to grocery stores (Reykjavik) to camp) Day 2: about 50 miles Day 3: about 238 miles Day 4: about 175 miles Day 5: about 300 miles Day 6: about 230 miles Day 7: about 223 miles Day 8: about 50 miles

Great information! How did you find using your drone?
@tim.muangkeo6 ай бұрын
Good! In some spots, the tour guide on the trail actually encouraged it and told me where to get the best angles (Mulagljufur Canyon). Other spots like the Airplane crash site or anywhere on the east side of Iceland were a bit difficult due to high winds. I didn't have many issues with the DJI Air 2 but mini's might be troublesome

@@tim.muangkeo Thanks -- I have a Mini - my son has a more robust drone - we're excited and inspired by your photography!

Awesome content! One thing I didn’t get, did you slept in the car on the campsites?
@tim.muangkeo8 ай бұрын
I slept in the tent that came with the car rental. Most of the campsites I went to were all open field and you can park anywhere. Some were assigned areas with it's own fire pit and bench

This was such a helpful video! My friends and I are heading to Iceland in April and have 5 non-travel days. Can this itinerary be condensed into 5 days?
@tim.muangkeo11 ай бұрын
You'd be very tired and run on little sleep but I'd say it's doable lol if you are doing the entire Ring Road you can probably skip out Hvítserkur and Rauðisandur on the northern part of the island.

Did the ring road feel rushed at all for just 7 days?
@tim.muangkeo4 ай бұрын
A little bit but that was because I was afraid I wouldn’t get to complete it so I somewhat rushed to get to the next location
@mmshemeer6 ай бұрын
can we take avata2 & mini4 is there any restrictions
@tim.muangkeo6 ай бұрын
No restrictions for the type of drones. However I will say a ton of spots have a no drone zone sign. I overheard a tour guide say you can fly if you launch the drone outside of the sign. Skogafoss is one of those spots
@stone4bread8 ай бұрын
