The exterior shots of what you described as the Natural History Museum were actually views of the Science Museum. The Natural History is unmistakeably gothic in appearance.

@@denniswilliams160 We walked in to the completely wrong museum then, our mistake 🤣 Thank you for pointing that out!

Thank you for inspiration as I plan our upcoming trip to London. I was there in 1989 and loved the tour of the Tower looking forward to going on that. And would like to see Buck palace (the Queen was in residence last time so, no tour) oh and looking forward to a good English tea at Fortum’s

We’re glad we could help! Next time we go back, we’ll definitely book in to do some tours ourselves. A tour of Buckingham Palace would be amazing!

nearly everywhere. Lived there for over 4 years, 20 years ago, and still in love with it. It looks better than ever.

We were pleasantly surprised with London, we just wish we had more time there. We'll definitely be back one day.

My daughter escorts me practically every month to usually Guys Hospital (I have CKD, so am monitored regularly) and as we usually spend a long day there, we tend to visit areas nearby either before or after my appointments, My daughter pushes me in my fixed axle wheelchair and, (as she has annual appointments at Guy's for her checkups for Rheumatoid Arthritis, she knows the area well and can show me around. Cobbled footpaths can be a bit bothersome for my wheels, but are okay for people who can walk normally... We went past the WWII warship The HMS Belfast, went through The Hayes Galleria, visited London Bridge Railway Station with it's many and various stores, treated ourselves with a lovely tasty lemon ice-cream cone each from a van outside Guys Hospital itself, and generally enjoy the ability to visit London for a day away from our home (in South East London). Other days, I have diabetic eye health checks at the nearby St.Thomas' Hospital, which in itself incorporates a variety of stores such as M & S,, clothing / trinket market stalls and a Costa, cafe/restaurant area for cold or hot snacks, plus cold and hot drinks. Not being mobile may have it's drawbacks but with my daughter's able assistance, a day spent in London Hospitals need not being just the time spent at appointments, as prior to, and following the appointments, and before waiting for Patient Transport to take us home, there's usually enough time for taking lunch inside or outside - according to the weather, and chances to see parts of London I wouldn't normally get to see.

Def. can do it yourself. I lived in London for 6 months and it was easy to get around and see what I wanted to see. Highly suggest figuring out what are non-negotiable items to see or do and work around that (and look at a map when you are planning)!
