Good video Phoebe. Just a couple of things Kowloon is a peninsula, not an island. The first egg tart you tried is a Portuguese egg tart (pastel de nata). The second one you tried was the Hong Kong egg tart (daan tat).

Brought back great memories of our week there in 2017. We stayed in the heart of Mongkok and ate our way around. We found the bird market a bit odd as a tourist desto. Elderly men with their caged pet birds gathering for a chat and a smoke while hanging the birds on hooks. We felt quite intrusive so didn't stay more than a few minutes, The flower market though was amaaazing. Thanks as always for capturing the places you visit so wonderfully

@@machaimiloais It was amazing. Tried the Waffle and the Egg tart in the video, loved it! Unfortunately I was during the worst rainy season there but I love the rain season in Asia. The one thing I missed was the Peak, I could not see anything when I went with the tram because of the weather. But Hongkong as we all know has a lot of food to offer and I explored all the local restaurantsand included a Macao trip with the Ferry which I can really recommend!

Hiya! The views up there are beautiful and I love the way your hair floats on the wind. Hong Kong seems to be a real busy city, how did you experience it? Didn't you feel a little overloaded? The scenery is gorgeous, some Asian countries (Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan) are making the most of every wall in terms of art. Cruise with lunch is the best. The birds and flowers look so peaceful. That eggplant looks so amazing. Thanks for sharing your Hong Kong guide, see you in Bohol 🤙

For someone like myself who is disabled and needs a mobility scooter to get around, it can be challenging to get to places. 1:10, instead of stairs, is there a ramp to use to take the Star ferry? Also, how would one get through the turn style gates (1:48) to enter the ferry? 6:46, is there an elevator vs. escalator to use at the Peak Tram? 16:10, is there an elevator to go down on the MTR?
@travelforphoebe9 ай бұрын
I wish I could answer this for you but the truth is I was so focused on filming, I wasn’t thinking of the location from an accessibility standpoint. I’m wondering if there may be creators who specialise in this type of insight! If not, sounds like there could be a gap there for someone to fill 🥰

Welp…this is all *your* fault! After watching your video, I am now typing from our favorite dim sum restaurant here in Orlando as we wait for our order. Happily, it’s less windy here 😂, so I don’t fear my fried rice will blow all over our neighbor! I’m so glad you left all that in. It’s so genuine and we don’t think we’ve laughed that much with you. 😂😂 Thanks also for the honest review of the hotel. I like how you addressed it: here’s the good and here’s the not good. Your honesty is why we trust you. Same goes for the egg custard. Glad you tried them (first one looked SO much better) and explained why you didn’t like the second one. Erin commented that your music selections, which are always good, were especially good on this video. As always, big fan of your b-roll shots overlayed with your info filled commentary. It’s what sets you apart. Phoebe-you’ve come so far. You’re no longer nervous while vlogging in crowds. It’s now natural and makes us feel like we’re talking with a friend. Glad to hear you’ve noticed too. You’re right: you are now a more experienced and savvy traveler and that comes through in your videos as well! Thanks for taking us along with you to Hong Kong. It’s a place we’d like to visit and now we have an idea of what to expect. Hope to hit HK Disneyland one day. Looking forward to next week’s adventures! Safe travels and see you again soon. Rob&Erin PS: I love egg waffles. Your guess was right, they are named so because of the shape. And you’re also right that they can be a bit dry. Need a sauce or ice cream sometimes. We spent a bit of time drooling on the menu (we paused that frame). The hazelnut “sandwiches” looked amazing. 🤤
