I used to live in Ludingtonville, NY (now named, Kent), which was named after Capt. Henry Ludington whose daughter Sybil, at 16 and on a dark night, rode 40 miles through the countryside calling up the militia because the British were burning colonial stores in Danbury, CT, a few miles away. That's the birthplace of James, the dude who platted out Pere Marquette but who also never stepped foot in it. Sybil was his aunt and a forgotten true hero of the American Revolution.

I lived 15min outside Ludington for 20 years. I miss being close to the beach in the summertime, but I don't miss the nasty lake effect snow.

I hear you! That's why I don't live in the western side of the state as there is always significantly more snow out that way than there is in the eastern part of the state. It is amazing in the summer though!

Wow! Ludington is beautiful! I'm excited to see the freeway vids! Also, did you check out Dillon Francis & Illenium - Don't Let Me Let Go?

Ludington was quite enjoyable! I don't have a freeway video going up until next week, but I do have a partial one coming out this Thursday! I have not checked that out yet.

@@scottman895 We will definitely watch more of your travel videos for our future trips! If you have not already been, I highly recommend visiting the beaches in my home state… Gulf Shores, Dauphin Island and Fort Morgan, Alabama!

@@alxbkr7662 Awesome, thank you very much! I haven't been to those locations in Alabama yet. I almost did go to Gulf Shores when I visited Fairhope nearby, but I ran out of time. There's always next time though!

Thank you. Just a short critique. You missed the turkey, at House of Flavors, that is cooking in the window. If they did not have one roasting, sorry.

I had no idea that they offered turkey there. I'll have to try that next time!

@@scottman895 There is a dividing wall, with a window, that holds a huge turkey roasting on a spit. I think there has only been once, that I did not see a turkey roasting. Our family standing joke is that we can celebrate Thanksgiving any time of the year.

@@MiBones That's very cool! I'll have to keep a lookout if I get a chance to go back someday.

So glad you got to go there! Love traveling with you! Ludington is definitely on my bucket list to visit! That lighthouse is awesome! Lake Michigan is so clear and balmy! The Big Sable lighthouse is one of my favorites! You gotta a twofer on this trip!

Ludington and Ludington State Park are quite beautiful! I highly recommend going to check it out sometime. I really enjoyed checking out Big Sable Point Lighthouse as well as the hike to it. Thanks for watching!
