SimplyLoren yes, I’ve been told to keep tight to keep momentum going

Sometimes certain moves on skates are hard not because of anything you’re doing but because there’s still a little bit of fear in your body and it gives you uncertainty and makes you stop without realizing like your body naturally just slows down and stops it. If you started skating a couple weeks ago then you’re a newer skater so your body isn’t used to the whole situation of being on wheels. What helped me was to slow everything down even more, do things one at a time, and lightly hold on to something just to build muscle memory for the movement. I’m one who’s scared of falling and getting hurt so it takes more time for me to learn something new. If you feel that you are comfortable and you’re a fearless person (first of all props to you) then there’s probably just a key move you’re missing or could be something with your skates as in u might need new wheels that have less traction and help you move smoother. I hope this helped (sorry this was so long)

@es14893 жыл бұрын

@@es1489 can you elaborate, because I'm having the same problem, and my wheels are more edged than hers
@markgarcia82533 жыл бұрын
It’s all about foot technique. They’re mini skateboards on your feet. So you have to lift either the front or back weeks so it can spin like a wheelchair
@hoopsk8r3 жыл бұрын
You can also adjust your action and use hard wheels. The surface your spinning on helps a lot too. I find it harder to spin on the pavement.

you could try looking up? Some combinations I have in non ballet classes do that instead of spotting. You won't be as dizzy and you're head won't whip around. This is in theory tho, I haven't had my skates arrive in the mail yet lol. Hope this helps! :D
