Another tip for Heavy in Splatoon 3: If you are in desperate need of cover or want to take a charger fight, use wave breaker as a deployable shield and play behind it and peak. But be sure you know you will get value from it and make your best judgement if it's use. You don't want to use wave breaker if you get nothing from it

My favorite splatoon 3 moment so far was an overtime victory where I practically bodied the opposing team with two 1v4 wipeouts in splat zones scorch gorge. Just circling the whole splat zone and daring them to come down and fight me. Took an 80-25 loss with 15 seconds left and turned it into a dub. Feels so bleeping good to play heavy well. Really wish we had something other than sprinkler though.

Id also like to offer the very simple advice of STAY MOBILE. Hydra and Heavy play similarly, but heavy being a weight class lower makes it *significantly* faster and opens up a lot of aggressive positions that simply aren't possible with hydra. Heavy Splattling is potentially one of the most mobile backline weapons in the game and you should exploit that when its safe to do so.

Before I wanted to try using Splatlings in battles, I tried to find the rest of Sunken Scrolls in Splat 2 while being a Splatling. The only difficulties I had was charge time and knowing when I’ll stop shooting. There is limited amount of kettles to try out the weapon class in 3, so I encourage anyone to try using it in Hero Mode if they have Splat 2 to warm up to the weapon!

Splatling is fun to play and easy to pick up if you’re a charger main. There is a lot of overlap and I use some Charger techniques on Splatling that I’ve modified for Splatling use. My extreme familiarity with chargers also can make me a pain in the ass to enemy chargers when I’m on Splatling. If you main charger and you haven’t tried Splatling you should. The aim you develop training on Charger makes you absolutely deadly with a Splatling

I love heavy Splatling. I just happened to get a perfect run speed head gear from salmon run and it is amazing. I just wish it had something better than sprinkler. I’d like to see you make a video on great sprinkler spots for all the naps. I have learned some pretty nice ones from maining heavy splatling.
