How to split a .nsp file larger than 4gb to install on a Nintendo Switch, fw: 10.0.2, fat32 sd card

For anybody that's encountering the issue where there's no option to install. You need to press y and set the archive bit on the folder. Afterwards the install option should appear. Also you may need to rename the folder so that it ends in .nsp after setting the archivebit

This have been told in the comments below but in case you dindt catch it up and the folder doesn't appear as a NSP file: Be sure the folder has .nsp as extension. Select the folder. Press the "y" button. Select advanced options. Activate bit file.

Hello ! I was actually able to do that. But the same window appears saying: error: 2356-0009 (0x1364), then module: Goldleaf (356), then Description: PFS0 non valide (NSP) (9). The file size of the folder is 0 bytes tho...

I was able to split it and move to the Switch. Archived the folder, but it still only shows view hex. I don't get the install option.

You need to put all splits into one single folder, name the folder to .nsp and set the Archive bit for this folder (rightclick, properties, archive checkbox). Goldleaf will then recognize the folder as an installable NSP.

it wont come as NSP file, so your nintendo does not consider them two separate games. However, the file it self should be .nsp

btw, if youre splitting an xci file youll need to use switch army knife to merge all the parts into an nsp, then split the nsp file

make sure once you have the split folder you open that, there should be another folder with the game title inside, drag this folder to your sd card, not the individual parts.

Figured it out: You install a folder containing both like any other nsp. The folder name should end with .nsp (for example, Super Mario Odyssey.nsp with files 00 and 01 inside it). If it doesn't install, the folder's archive bit also needs to be set. At the very least, I know you can do that in Goldleaf by highlighting the folder, pressing Y, and selecting Extra Options.
