did you use new hardware? where did you get it? I scored some ssr Vienna kreis cheap but they are missing some bolts. I want to replace all 80 torx bolts and nuts.

Did you run the blade directly in the middle or closer to the lip? I'm afraid to do it and mess up the inner barrel.

Looks like it takes some balls to try this, but it's worth the effort! I've got a bent lip on one of my VSXX's. Trying to get it straightened at a welding shop near me. Keep the videos coming.

Yeah man, if you get the cut wrong you pretty much mess up the wheel and have to buy 2 new barrels, but thanks man good luck with your wheels

I'm looking to repaint my SSR Koenig faces. Can I just remove the bolts and pop the faces off? I believe the barrels/lips are welded.

hey by any chance do you know what the bolt size are for the ssr koenigs. im in the process of rebuilding mine and i cant seem to find any info on the bolt size that hold the face in. if you could help i would appreciate it. Thanks!

Not sure what happens next?? So you've cut the original weld from the center and have unbolted the hub...to replace the bent outter section. But who is going to weld the new piece back on? question #2 So is the savings only from you cutting and unbolting the wheel? Thank you. Great way to cut that apart.👌

The barrels don’t need to be welded together, just bolt the face back in and use a silicone sealant on the seam. And yes saving cost and a trip to a wheel/machine shop to split the barrels. Also an angle grinder is much better than the way I did it in the video.

Hey man! Love your videos. I got a question about SSR Viennas. Got a set of 19" for my car, and I wonder is the center facemounted or weldad with the barrel? Since they are "2 split" i folksaying but they actually are 3 split only weldad which most wheels are from factory. But can I remove my face without cutting? I was going to wrap my center in chrome gold finish and polish my lips to mirror finish. =) Keep the awesome videos coming bro! /Jimmy - Sweden.

I found out that those I got are 2-pieace. A complete barrel with lip and a welded center. Kind of weird setup. But I guess I can buy barrel and lip separate and build them to whatever I want. But do you recommend me to weld them if I rebuild them to 3-pieace? Since it only has 20 bolts instead of most splitwheels which has 40?

Jimmy Melin you don't need to reweld the wheels as long as you torque the bolts to spec and seal it up you should be good

Blaine Nojiri Unfortunatly it turned out that those Vienna I got is a 2-pieace with a complete barrel which doesn't seem to be able to split and my centre is welded and The split bolts don't go all the way through with a nut. any ideas?

Is there any reason why they weld 3pc wheels and make them 2 pc. Only asking because I have a welded set of wheels and I was gonna spilt but I ended up buying new lips and barrels from my job to rebuild.

Just because it's welded doesn't make it 2 piece. If the lip/barrel/face are different than its a 3 piece wheel.

raakesh persaud no you do not need to weld them back together, you just bolt them together and seal them

Can you show us what you're running as your air set up. I'm about to buy BC coilovers but I really really rather be bagged money is tight to go buy ksport or even D2 lol. What do you think would be the best route right under the D2 set up. I know air management stuff so that's not a problem.

Honestly, I went the cheapest route possible only because I knew I was gonna bag the car, I'm on eBay coils and Uas bags, manual management that I pieced together. They ride surprisingly well for $500 coils. My set up in total cost me around $1200 ish if I recall, I'll make a video with an overview of my setup

hey do you have to cut two slits to split the wheels or just one down the middle?

I'm not too sure what you mean by 2 slits, but all I had to do was cut the weld down the middle that's joining the two barrels and they usually come apart

Most times yes depending if the face is top or bottom mount, if it's sandwich/middle mount you have to split the welds

Zachary Mendoza depends on the offset of the wheels, if the wheels are wide enough for you then you don't need spacers
