Yes, the first method is working well and good and it doesn't require root. However, it also depends on the app, there are a few apps that just checks for the bootloader unlock status and not root. For those apps, you don't need to pass the Play Integrity test, simply spoofing the bootloader unlock status is sufficient. However, there are other apps that apart from checking bootloader unlock status also checks for root. For those apps, just faking the bootloader status will not be sufficient and you'll have to pass the Play Integrity Test as well. As far as data removal is concerned, you'll only have to delete the data from the 3-4 Google Apps listed in the video and the banking/payment app from which you want to hide the unlock status. Apart from that, the process doesn't do any format data or factory reset.

Interesting 🤔. FYI : If the app still detect that your phone is bootloader unlock, maybe it detect the root from magisk so hide your magisk.
