So just to clarify, what he’s describing is in fact plainclothes cops. Plainclothes cops are simply cops who don’t wear uniform but do adhere to the grooming standards (haircuts, facial hair, etc.). Not all of them wear baggy clothes. It’s a matter of preference and in some cases where they work out of. An undercover cop, similar to U.S. special forces/special operations dress in clothing suitable to the environment and/or mission as well as have more relaxed grooming standards.

@@themanguy2110well most unmarked explorers don’t have a roof rack(although some do now), *some unmarked cars still have government plates *they always put lights in the front of the car, if you can’t see them through the window then look at the front bumper. If you see a light bar in the grill, it’s probably a cop. *If you see an older car that looks like it would be owned by a thug, but it’s just a little bit too clean(like a 90’s mercury that still has pristine paint and all 4 factory wheels), it’s probably a cop. The best way to avoid unmarked cars is to not speed around ANY other cars. My local PD has cars you would never suspect. I’ve seen people get pulled over by a fox body mustang, old ass corollas, they even have a Cummins that looks like a methhead owns it

Brit here. A friend of mine is a volunteer cop, (Special Constable), & was under cover a couple of times. He thought what he was doing was going to be scuppered by uniformed officers, turned out they were there for something completely different. The uniformed patrol searched & arrested a suspect while my friend & a colleague watched, and both my friend and colleague were chatting with a bystander. The colleague knew the uniformed officers, & was interacting with them also. Bystander told my friend he can spot “Undies” a mile off, certain brands are common for cops who do very little plain clothes work. My friend, however was Walmart & Dollar Store equivalent in his plain clothes, so when he told his colleague the needed to get going, the bystander was more than a little shocked. Add to the cheapest outfit my friend is chunky (but still fit), old (50s), and sports a nice beard, ….

But I just remember my parents at least knowing he was a cop and his car when I went in it was fully decked out in proper police equipment with a radio and all that. So I think he would cruise in an unmarked vehicle which I think is illegal idk but the cops in my town are pretty shady so I wouldn’t put it past them. My encounter was with an undercover 3-letter agency. I knew he was trying to trap me when he said, he knew me and he named the city that I grew up in, and named the city that I currently live in right now. And I said, "No". The chances of anyone living in the same city that I grew up in and the same city that I currently live in is slim to none. Besides, you know people because you both attended an event or you both were part of the same organization, not because you lived in the same city.
