I feel that this method is good when the last two digits lies between 00-20 or 80-00. But when the numbers are nearer to 40-60, it becomes difficult to calculate since we have to calculate the squares of 40 to 60. Other than this, the method is excellent.

would like to bring two points to your notice. 1.How to calculate the number near 50. Say 248. In this case, should I know the square of 48? Normally knowing squares up to 25 is sufficient to find out the square of any number 2. I feel it is not necessary to find out the answer is 5 digit or 6 digits. You can start from the right. Find out the square and note down only two digits and carry over the third number ( if 12 is the number , its square is 144. Write down 44 and carry over 1). Then go to LH number and follow the same procedure as you explained 424^2 --> first write square of 24, which is 576. Note down 76 and carry over 4. 424 +24 = 448. 448 x 4 =1792 --> 1792 + 5 = 1797 424^2 = 179776 (Steps not explained here) In this case answer is 5 digit or six digit does not matter. Or we can do as you explained, but inform the viewers that last two numbers are from theRH number. Like your presentation style

250 is nearer to 300 by adding 50 so, you subtract 50 from 250 .you will get 200 right then multiply with 3 ,you gets 600 after that add 2500 as the square of the 50.we need to get five digits as sir mentioned in the video. Finally we get 62500 as our answer.

Base Multiplication why didn't they teach me in school. I am seeing everywhere after my collage days only.It is used in 1)multiplication of number near 100. 2)multiplication of number near 50 . 3)Two nearer numbers Like (24*28),(79*78). 4)squaring 2 digit number . 5)now This Teach to younger generation about base multiplication at-least they do calculation faster than us... Tnq so much sir..ur explanation was superb.. But for some numbers it's more difficult like 346,558 etc. Then I tried the following method it's very easy.. Eg:463 take 460(diff ~ Is 3) Then add again 3 to 463=466 Now tuk base as 46 then Multilpy with 46 466 *46=21436 (remember it's a 6 digit num bcz it's >316) Then add 9 to 21436 =214369
