We used to do this all the time on Ontario. It was two rods per man, and we ran two riggers stacked. That was back in the 80's and 90's. Now, we can run 3 and we usually run 2 riggers ,2 Dipsy , and 2 lead core off boards. The good old days, It's nice to reminisce. But I'm not changing back. The way we troll now is much more productive.

How do you angle the rods? Which rod line is let out longer?

I generally angle the deeper/bottom rod more flat whereas the shallower/top rod angled up slightly. Rod angle doesn’t change anything for this technique. The leader for the bottom rod is let out longer than the top to reduce the chance of tangles.
