Neil I appreciate your videos and blog so much. You have helped me in many ways. I am an ex-convict and spent over 5 years of my life in prison. I transformed my life when I missed the birth of my twin sons. Now my mission is to empower the underdogs with practical tools to rise up, break free, and dominate life. What you said about blowing up after 3 years or more gives me a lot of inspiration. I've been at this for one year exactly and it's just now starting to gain traction like you said. Thank you for always dropping incredible knowledge bombs.

Hey Neil. I am a writer basically. I want to move to video format as well. But, especially being an introvert, I feel little awkward. Do you suggest I start posting videos on some channel where no one knows me before posting it for my followers? Or I should directly go with posting it for my followers?
@neilpatel6 жыл бұрын
Hey Saurabh, it can be difficult to shift to video, especially as an introvert. I would directly go to your followers, but practice first. Create videos that you have no intention of posting, then watch them to see how you would like to improve them. With practice, you'll gain confidence and get ready for your public debut :-)
@tylercourts45926 жыл бұрын
Just saw this and wanted to share my thoughts... Don't feel like you have to be picture perfect whenever you release your first video. People like watching others who are genuine, so your viewers will feel more of a connection to you if you don't try TOO hard to be perfect in your videos.

Totally ok with the long game. Just to get some idea though, how much traffic would be an acceptable figure at 6, 12, and 18 months to know if you're on the right track? I know this will depend on niche but what would the minimum numbers be that would indicate the idea and execution is sound (if no prior blog/seo experience?)

I am a sales consultant and one of the larger Chevy dealerships in Michigan. I used to use social media to market health and fitness products because that was comfortable. I am down for video and audio, I even enjoy doing it. I am struggling to come up with some innovative ideas on how to make myself stand out to the customers while maintaining a sense of professionalism. I am searching for any ideas on how to generate leads for myself at the dealership and am willing to completely jump outside of the box. Any suggestions??? I will probably do them. Thank you for your content!
@neilpatel6 жыл бұрын
I suggest testing a lot of different ideas to see what resonates the best. Be creative. Put yourself in the shoes of someone looking to buy a car to see what they might want to hear/learn about before deciding where to go.

Needless to say as always, Outstanding content Neil. Quick question though, how would one access Facebook Watch? I know right...but I can be a little technologically challenged sometimes. Not quite the Guru...yet, but I'm catching up. Thanks for mentioning the transparency, I think audiences are sick and tired of Sport Cars, Yachts and Fancy Island Getaways (I know I am) but mostly that desperation that sets in once Reality kicks the empty promises out. Long term thinking, I believe the only difference between super successful people and the ones not quite as successful...yet, is Time. I must admit that my current visitor count is not that impressive, but the stats are with an average page views of 2-5 and stay duration from 10-30 minutes. That's exactly what I'm after. Thanks to great teachers such as yourself, the last few months had been quite exciting.
@neilpatel6 жыл бұрын
Thanks Deon! There's a Watch tab on Facebook. That will let you watch the latest videos. And you're right, time plays an important role. People who are willing to stick with it eventually get enormous success :-)

Once I have my Blog Page 1, I can spend more time with this Facebook Video "Thing". Did post some of my best videos as a tester, while spending more time beating SEO into submission...lol! Took quite some work getting here, as I started in 2012 with absolutely NO Computer skills. I couldn't even copy/paste (True Story), which needless to say, I used to be a Technological Dinosaur. Been intensely focusing on Blogging and SEO for the last 2 odd years or so. I will most definitely be a regular with your work, love the simplicity.

Hey Neil, so I'm initiating my journey into the entrepreneur world with dropshipping to get my feet on the ground in terms of marketing and sales. The low barrier-to-entry seems like a good starting place. I strive to be on the respectable side of dropshipping and apply authentic business strategies to it. I'm already looking ahead where I want to take that and a unique niche clothing brand is the space I want to move into. My question to you is how can I incorporate storytelling and video content with dropshipping and moreso learning econ/starting a brand. Should I document my journey? I feel like that's a new take on things in the ocean of "Shopify Guru" webinars and courses.

Hi Neil. I'm a writer & web designer, and a busy mom, too. (Actually, I think my 8 1/2 year old daughter is busier than me. Which makes me uber busy...) I'm starting to produce more videos and I'm even hosting my first live webinar in a few days. I'm doing more videos mostly because I know they are helpful, and, I don't have as much time to get out and meet people in person, which has often helped me in the past. I am not crazy about Facebook, but I'm getting more active on Instagram, KZbin, LinkedIn and Twitter. I am blogging more, too. I am looking at the long game. Do you think that using just four social media outlets is sufficient? Any additional advice? Thanks in advance. (I studied your course on CreativeLive, too. Outstanding!)

Good tips. I know Facebook had video for a long time, but I this is the first time I'm hearing about Facebook Watch. I'll have to look into that. I think I get the process of creating a blog or KZbin channel from your other videos as far as finding ideas from places like Buzzsumo or Quora, but I still feel uncertain about getting started. I'm interested in a lot of things (from tech, to body-weight training, to personal success), but I'm not an expert at anything. Should I do reviews about books I've read related to self development topics, or review computer technology and applications that interest me, or maybe give fitness tips I've come across? Are there other nches or sub-niches that make more sense or have more potential?
@neilpatel6 жыл бұрын
If you give Facebook Watch a try, let me know how it goes! I would go with personal experience. For instance, if you want to write about fitness, talk about your fitness journey. Try new exercises, dietary changes, etc. and report to your audience your results. Good luck!

Not buying it for a second man, man, no one is that excited about marketing, I'm telling you this with the best intentions at heart. You have some competition that look and sound so real and natural just by being chill and talking to me like we're in the same room. Keep it real, it's the best strategy. Thanks Shery! The important thing is to trust your experiences and your instincts. Money shouldn't stop you from moving forward with your dreams. You can create a free blog for now if you don't have the cash for hosting and a domain name. I wish you all the best!

Thanks for this video, is was super informative. I'm having trouble deciding on what to post on my company's twitter to keep up with engagement. We have a podcast and website but haven't created new content in over a month due to not being able to record - what other ways can keep up w/ engadement to keep followers interested?

Survey your followers to see what's on their mind. Also, check out other businesses in your space to see what they are doing that gets good engagement.

How many times a month is the ideal frequency for posting videos?
@neilpatel6 жыл бұрын
There really is no ideal frequency. It depends on how often you can put out great videos and how often your audience watches. I publish a new video once per day. :-)

Great Video Neil! what are your thoughts on a video mixing my thoughts on tattooing on lsd? I'm into it and ive done tattoos on it and its really influenced my artwork, but what do you think? is that too much for my viewers?

I'm not familiar with the industry, so I couldn't say. However, if you're passionate about it, there's nothing wrong with exploring it.
