To sell digital products from your blog are you integrating another platform like the shopify starter plan?

I didn't use Shopify when I started selling digital products, but I also didn't have a ton of products to be fair. I have like 5 or 7 products in total. I've used Wordpress and SendOwl for a few years, then I switched to Thrivecart Learn+ anastasiablogger.com/thrivecart - I chose it because it has great checkout pages and allows me to sell my video courses in the same place as the other digital products in PDF format.

Hi there! Thank you for watching my videos. The answer depends on your primary monetization methods. If you plan to sell your own products and maybe have a blog with affiliate links as well, Podia is great because it has all the features included for selling products. If your main goal is to monetize traffic with display ads like Mediavine, you should not start on Podia because unfortunately at this time the platform doesn't work with display ads, you can't put Mediavine's code on a Podia blog. WordPress is a platform for building the blog, Bluehost or Hostinger are two hosting providers that allow you to build a self-hosted blog and they are both in a similar price range, I have used both in different times and on different blogs. But I did start my first blog originally in 2017 on Bluehost, it's a fact and that's what I mentioned in the video :) Their cheapest basic plans have very similar level of customer support and the offer is pretty much the same. So you can go with either one of them if you decide to pursue blogging for display ads with Mediavine. I

Yes not only that, I also still use it. Most of my pins are made in canva and then I uplpad them to pingenerator. I am slowly adding some images generated with AI but knowing Pinterest doesn't like sudden changes I don't think it is wise to swith to all AI images, I test 3 or 5 AI generated pins per week and see how they perform. Bit you know, pingenerator is also great to schedule pins, even those with AI images.

You see, since I started in 2017 I've been always focused on Pinterest as a traffic source and it's been the main topic of this channel as well. Google SEO is also a great traffic source, or at least has been until the last year or so. But if you are paying attention to the industry trends, many bloggers have lost 50-90% of their Google traffic in the past year or so with new algorithm updates and Google giving priority in their search results to either Reddit or their own AI-generated results. So I've seen people who were experts in Google SEO and were selling successful courses on this topic for 5+ years suddenly become Pinterest experts and switching their focus to Pinterest traffic in just a year. You are free to make your conclusions based on this :)

Especially for selling products and online courses or coaching because it gives you all the functionality to do this in one place, your blog will be on the same platform as your products and you can even manage your email marketing there. But if you plan to monetize your blog with display ads, there is a problem because you can add Mediavine ads or another platform like Google Adsense

People have been saying this since when I started my blog in 2017, it's still here. I think it's not dying but evolving. You need to diversify traffic sources and platforms. I find a lot of bloggers are adding a YT channel or a Tiktok account and that's another way to go. And diversify monetization methods to not rely only on display ads.
