Excellent tutorial. Thank you for this. Do you have to wait for the vinyl to cool down after you press with the heat press before removing the transfer tape?

Thank you! So every brand is different. If the instructions that come with your heat transfer vinyl do not tell you what kind of vinyl it is then I recommend you just peel real slow and if it starts to lift just re-press it and then wait 45 seconds before pressing again. Also, it’s heat resistant plastic that comes with the heat transfer vinyl. Transfer tape is usually used for regular vinyl.

I just have a simple question: how do you get designs without borders? I just started garment design printing Monday, my first printout last night and my design (graphic and some text) printed with a border and this is how I transferred it onto a t-shirt. I don't want any borders! How do I get rid of this? What graphic editors offer this option? Help! I'm using an HP inkjet printer, heat transfer paper and a domestic iron, by the way.
