Good video i like how real you are im in a similar scenerio ive got a dba a buisness bank account have done 4 jobs with happy clients im struggling with getting job leads and cannot afford nor do i understand paper leads im a badass carpenter but a very crappy buisnessman do to lack of knowledge on the buisness side of construction. I appreciate your realism and positivity because im in a similar scenerio as you were a few years back. Ive underbid my first job because i wanted it so dam bad. Its a tough world out there full of greedy snakes that wanna walk on you. Just wanted to say i respect and admire you sharing the trials tribulations and benifits of starting your own construction business.

Man I happy for you getting out there. It is very tough. One thing I can say is knowing construction and knowing construction business definitely is a huge learning curve. Great video! Thank you for sharing your experience. Would you do a video telling us about your wife’s role in the growing of your company. My husband and I started a business this year, he has been in the construction business for a while now but I’m new, I know very little and sometimes I feel a little frustrated because I don’t know how to help. I’ve had a office job for most of my life so vast experience handling paperwork but I’m not sure how this can come handy in this line of work.

You are going to be a HUGE asset to the business. My wife was the same. she does all the paper work, fielding calls and is a learning marketing while I’m in the field working, being the face of the company. Idk what industry y’all are in but one thing that really helped my wife is that I took her out in the field with me. On days where she wasn’t busy and I wasnt under loads of pressure, she followed me around and we talking about the “who, what, where, when and why’s” and she asked tons of questions. Also I put my phone on speaker when she was around and I was on the phone talking business so she could get the feel for how to communicate. 2 years in and she’s very confident and having fun with it

My husband is the face of our demolition business, but I have done all the marketing, website, and brand building, etc. We are now a consistent 7-figure business, doing it all by ourselves, with no salespeople ever and little to no ads. My background is as a communications specialist and in digital marketing. Now, I combine my experience to help other contractors turn their skills into a $5,000 to $10,000 coaching offer, and I've never made money so easily while working so little. What I want to say with this is that you learn so much just by diving into the unknown, and you never know where it will lead you.
