I love her simple approach. As a dairy cow man, I think it all comes down to stress and performance. If you ask zillions of lbs from first time milkers and feed them an Olympic athlete's diet, they're gonna get sick and die. Take half of the milk, feed grass only and invest the rest of the day in loving them back for what they give, and you have healthy goats, farmer, environment.

I got two baby dairy goats a week ago, one is female, and a Alpine-Newbian Cross, a male that is a Saanen-Newbian cross, and a female Saanen-Alpine or Newbian cross is going to be given to us in the next week! Newbian's have the richest milk, and Saanens and Alpines produce the most milk. I highly recommend the breed if you are looking into a semi-big goat farm. The Saanen can produce almost 2 Gallons a day!!!

Hi... Need an emergency help from you. I'm having one Nigerian dwarf Male Goat. Today morning all of sudden he is walking backwards and yelling. I took him to vet and give 4 injection into his neck but still he is yelling and sitting and standing at same place looks very dull. Please give a life saving solution to help my goat.

Firstly thank you so much for your video. My wife and I would like to get 2 acres here in ontario (Canada)to start with our small farm, shes going to continue to work and the farm will be my primary income I'm hoping. I'm still in the begining stages of my planning, but I understand goats to be one of the more profitable and lower cost livestock animals. I'm a carpenter by trade so this is all new to me, any suggestions as to which goats I should get if my goal was meat and dairy? Also is 2 acres to little land to plan a single income farm on? I never plan to be or want to be rich, and would be happy to ever make 20k a year on my own land I think. I understand farming to be long term, laborious, and full of the love you put into it; and those are the values I want to raise my children on, so money is not my first goal. Thank you again, and I understand that this video is from 2016, so no hurt feeling if you dont respond. Lol

This video holds very good information. Different goat breeds may do better in some regions than others, I would possibly research with any local goat raisers and or livestock specialists about any particular breed that will not do well in your area. On an average(depending on the type of pasturing provided) you can home 2-4 goats per acre safely and comfortably. I have placed some links below for additional information. This was great, thanks, I've been looking for "top selling boer goat" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Chloetey Boer Goatify - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? Ive heard some great things about it and my work buddy got cool results with it.
