Yes, but honestly the more the better really. Just because it has some automation from Factorio, doesn’t mean it shouldn’t exist. This has story and I love how you can pretty much dig through the world and do what you want factory wise. Of course they still have a long way to go still

Did you know when you first start that area you can see through the glass that has stuff set up already you can get fuel from the belts in there it’s an infinite amount

There is enough to warrant the price tag. My main save was around 50 hours. And they set it up for growing as you can clearly see at the end it’s not finished. So I’m excited to see it grow in the coming years. YMMV

They changed it to farther into the game after you get the thresher and planter.

This game is super poorly optimized on Xbox, it is unplayable, the inputs have a 1 second delay and every time I open a box the game crashes. I hope they fix their performance soon.

Nope you can explore and build anywhere in the map. And there are lots of nodes in different places. As they add more progression content I’m sure the need will come where you will most definitely want to go out more but even now you can go pretty much anywhere.

I play like 5 different factory games all the time. I love this genre. Really fun to see new games coming out in it. This one has potential.

I have played both, for early game this is far more stable it runs on console so I can play with most of my mates, I have a pc that can handle satisfactory modded BUT this game seems to be alot more optimised considering it's early access, satisfactory gets clunky after a while

There is a good video by "The Dutch Actuary" in which he makes some good points explaining why he prefers Techtonica, and I agree with them. In any case, why not try more than one of anything in life? There is more than one good thing to eat, listen to, play, or experience, right? Personally, for this kind of game, I find Factorio much more interesting and engaging than the rest including Satisfactory, Techtonica maybe the most beautiful and with the bonus of a mystery story, Hydroneer easily the worst and not worth playing at all. But that is only my opinion.

Because I've put a jillion hours into satisfactory. I prefer factorio. Now this. And playing against the storm, shadow gambit and all types of other games.
