I started recording "pretend" radio shows in 1962 when I got a 4 inch reel tape recorder. I built a 2000 watt pirate station in the mid 1970's and ran it till mid 1987 when they finally caught me and gave me a fine. There was no internet broadcasting software available so I wrote my own, and launched my internet radio station in August '87. Over 30 years later I'm still running it, now with 4 channels playing 24/7. I have never made any money doing it, or ever tried to. I just do it because I enjoy it :>

For the record, most of these tips and gear can be used for a legitimate or pirate radio station. That said, it concerns me that people don't have at least 1 portable battery-powered radio at home for emergencies. Internet radio is well and good, but WHEN we are targeted by terrorists, and it will eventually happen, the FIRST thing they're going to do is to target our infrastructure, and online services will be at the top of their lists. No internet. Only way people will be able to get up-to-date information will be on the old radio.

Um, Broadcasting ON LINE is not a RADIO Station - a RADIO Station requires a radio... and radio equipment, and perhaps licenses, permits, and fees for your government, oh, and a fairly large antenna.

Whilst I love the service you offer, you are massively overpriced compared to other providers. Once you add licences unless it’s making money it’s impossible to self finance as a hobby
