Hi Jenny. I filled out the form that you showed for the county clerk, and oddly, the PDF version is illegible as is the printed version. For some reason it printed the information multiple times in different sized fonts. I wrote in with a question asking what to do as I cannot figure out how to redo the form but I don't know if they will get back to me. What can a person do if the form doesn't come out right? There is no option to redo it that I can see.

@@davjr7839 If you truly want to start a business which has an annual $800 tax, and compliance requirements biannually, getting a business license, etc then starting an LLC would separate your personal assets if you own a home, car, etc from potential liabilities from a lawsuit.... I would in no way recommend an uber driver to start an LLC, in my opinion.

I do already have a Virtual address, physical address for a registered agent but I just am unsure when I must use home address? To add- on a FBN Statement form....First section asks- person doing business as- i would enter Name of Business. Second section asks- Street address (no po box, postal facility or PMB) - would it be ok to enter the anytime mailbox address here? I can get a physical address with this company. Another question- Am I the registrant IF I am a sole proprietor? Do I put my name as the Registrant ? When it asks for - Address of Registrant- (must I use home address here?) @@ginnysilver yea it discouraged me and never paid the fees needed it was for an online business I wanted to start and needed the sellers permit, zoning permit, and fictitious business name to obtain the business license and the only way to get the fictitious name was to go to city hall in person but they were closed I guess my city doesn't allow business owners lol

When I go on CalGold and enter in Alameda County- San Leandro, the page I'm taken to that shows all of the permits needed, I see all of these permits that seem like the wouldn't apply to my in-home e-commerce hair care business like Building and Construction permit. For city - specific questions on requirements you'll need to contact your city directly. Each city has different zoning and other requirements for in-home businesses - some have no requirements while others are more strict. If something is unclear and seems like it doesn't apply to you, it is always best to get confirmation from your city
