Thank you so much for this! Honestly, at the start of the pandemic, I committed to uploading at least one video a week and OMG the growth has been so slow and has caused SO many breakdowns 🥺. On top of balancing a full-time job and 3 side hustles, it's been SO freakin difficult at times. It really helped to hear that it's okay to not blow up right away! It's sometimes very hard to stay motivated but I know my quality & passion is there so I am going to keep going! I wish everyone luck on your journey! ❤️❤️❤️

Disingenuity has become really huge on KZbin recently. Who’s watching because they like the content and who’s here just to subtly self promote. It kinda reminds me of high school, pretending to like people just for personal gain. I agree with what you said that it definitely hurts your channel in the end but also it’s a major turn off and gives a bad rep to those who actually watched the video and just want to comment on it. Obviously some people just aren’t good with words or want to write a lot which is fair, not bashing them! But I hope there can be more authenticity on this platform on the future.

Love all these tips! I first heard about you through the We Are Women Owned Sisterhood and love your content. I’ve been doing KZbin for almost 2.5 years and the growth has been slow but I’m also doing it for myself and try not to think about the numbers too much! Not only are the “subscribe back” comments so annoying because it makes me feel like others are using my videos and my small growing channel for their own gain but a few months back I was randomly added into an “Instagram pod” for “new youtubers” who I didn’t know at all! When I asked how I ended up in this group message they said it’s because I used the hashtag “new KZbinr” on an IG post (which I never have) so she added a bunch of girls from that hashtag into the group to subscribe to one another. I left the pod since I never agreed to it and subscribing to one another in the group felt so inauthentic

Loved the video! So excited for this new series. Just one question: how do you know when a brand approaching you is legit and really wants to work with you or a scam?
@safaritaylor3 жыл бұрын
The first thing I do is google the brand name plus scam, I check the email address it's coming from making sure it's a company one, I also search the persons name who emailed me on LinkedIn to verify they actually work for the company. Those are just a few tips, I was scammed earlier this year and it's the worst feeling ever so I hope that doesn't happen to anyone else

I think that if you want fast success trash content is basically the easiest way to reach popularity and fame. If you are good looking, fun and make stupid stuff on camera you are rich and famous. KZbinrs like Logan Paul and others are always famous: they've built their huge audience trough doing stupid stuff, if you do this you will always create cloud. The algorithm wants that. Society wants that.
