It seems like there is no point to an LLC now - Beginning January 1, 2024, most small entities-including single member LLCs-must file online reports with the federal government, disclosing information about the beneficial owners of the entities. Please comment on this.

I don't think so... knowing the BOI doesn't mean that they (owners) are liable for damages, because their liability is protected by LLC vs if you want to do business with your own name, you are putting all your assets at risk. but if you are talking about remaining anonymity then I agree, but as before this policy, only LLCs formed within specific states would provide that, which put your info not accessible to general public. I think the BOI requirement posted recently by federal government will keep the info collected remains unaccessible to general public too, as it putting these info to public goes against some states' law.
