If you're charging $50/h, then 20 students would be more than ideal, 30 would be godlike. I feel like the same number of students can apply to teachers who charge $40/h.

Right! Even if you only taught those 20 students once a week that’s a healthy business!! The beautiful thing is it can be as big or as small as your ambition!

I think I'd need at the least 10 students at the beginning to get me started. I just realized this was my passion when I was helping a co-worker whose first language is Spanish. I just realized I can do this, and this will make me happy more than have extra money on the side (but it doesn't hurt to have that too!). If I can do this and help my co-worker be my first student in my future profession, then I know this is something I can do for a long time. Thank you for helping me think about this harder with your video.

I can't believe I haven't seen your channel before! It was sooo worth it for me to sign up for business coaching when starting my online teaching business that I REALLY wish I would've made that investment 2 years earlier, lol. Better late than never, right?

Hey Michael, thank you for sharing these videos. I started teaching kids about a year ago and found the confidence, thanks mostly to your videos. I now teach kids and adults, with a good rating from students. But the hourly rate sucks, so I want to start on my own. I'm studying and paying for a business degree so I can't afford to teach for such a low rate. Much appreciated again 🙏
