Another tip is. Even if you build a god tier map. People will still hate it because of skill issues. Or person bias to styles. So listening to feedback isnt always helpful

Sounds like someone just got the classic Map Review experience!
@ghostlyrazgriz522811 ай бұрын
@@nolafus many times tbh. Kinda frustrating when you get people like ddolla and other totd mappers saying 5* would like to see in totd. Then 1 or 2 people drop a 1* every review

Good intro to mapping! IMO the best thing to start mapping is build as many maps you can do and just play them without uploading them. If you then feel like you have a few ideas try to combine them and do that for a few maps. Maybe after a few maps upload a map you like, and look how people drive it to gather info on where people have trouble. Most important thing is keep building new maps instead of improving the old ones. (at least in the start) 20-40 maps if you are very active. The important thing is that the map needs to be fun to play to YOU. If you keep building maps that you like you always map at your level and won't get in too deep waters.

Nice. I'm kinda bummed I didn't have this when I first started building. But yeah. It's all accurate.

Thanks for this video, I’m subbing now. 🙏🏻 Would you be able to make a live tutorial of a PF map? … I’m curious to learn techniques on making smooth transitions, designing a seemingly complex route using angled blocks (some go-to OP plugins & custom block recommendations maybe?), and honestly more than anything else, I’d say for me, it’s observing an efficient workflow. I know it will obviously involve a lot of trial & error, and I’m not afraid of putting in the hours. But learning from a simple/basic yet efficient workflow could really help me find a method that works for my idea. Hope to see more of those intermediate tutorials. Will check out the rest of your channel too.

This is a great video, I will definitely subscribe and follow for more content. Would love to know what your hotkey setup is like and what assists you with navigating through the menus

I'm very basic. I just use the default hotkeys and navigate through the menus with my mouse

How I can place blocks into other blocks? Like this pipes at minute 3:50.

@Speed-55-h7k Ghost block mode. You can see me switch between modes in the lower left corner. Unfortunately, it's only available on PC; console doesn't have access to it

Okay thanks.

So is the console track editor kinda just terrible?
@nolafus4 ай бұрын
Yeah, basically. There's a lot of functionality missing and some annoying bugs, but that hasn't stopped some pretty amazing maps coming out from the console builders!

How do you place a respawn checkpoint on console it’s confusing me
