Tips below 👇 Link to free lesson: jtcguitar.com/article/4-beginner-hybrid-picking-licks-from-claudio-pietronik Taken from Claudio Pietronik 21-Day Fix: Hybrid Picking Tip 1️⃣ Start practicing with just your pick and your middle finger! The middle finger should hook onto the string below the one being plucked. It should do so at the EXACT moment the pick strikes the string, and then pluck the next note immediately after. Tip 2️⃣ When you are comfortable, apply the same concept using ONLY your ring finger on the string below the one where you previously used your middle finger. In this case, you'll be working with string skipping. Tip 3️⃣ Now use both your middle and ring fingers. When you pick a note, simultaneously hook your middle finger onto the string below and your ring finger onto the string below that. After picking, release one finger at a time to play the next two strings.

Wow . Such a simple and effective clip. This reminds me of the crux of the Charleston rhythm in an old Tuck Andress video

Hybrid picking is a bad idea unless its for sweeps. Strict outside alternate sounds better and relaxes the hands.

Tbh hybrid picking is super comfortable in its own right, some things just aren’t feasible to be alternate picked - and it certainly isn’t feasible to outside pick everything lol

Yo dude scalloped frets suck
@ron367612 күн бұрын
Do you know why there is scalloped frets???? You get a much better grip on the string,,,THEY DON'T SUCK AT ALL.
@xxIONBOMBxx12 күн бұрын
@@ron3676 not at all true. scalloped frets just mitigate the strings buzzing when you have your action set to the floor. albeit I like Yngwie, I agree, scalloped frets suck unless you only play notes really fast.

@BionicBrady obviously for you they do. You gotta know how to set up the Instrument.

Scalloped frets are better in every way, and ill argue that point
@halitzerger288911 күн бұрын
@@xxIONBOMBxx The scalloped fretboard has nothing to do with fret buzz, since fret buzz occurs when the string touches the frets, not the fretboard. Scalloping a fretboard prevents the tip of your finger from touching the fretboard and gives a more refined feel, especially when bending. The biggest disadvantage is that if you can’t control the amount of pressure you apply, the pitch will change if you press too hard, just like on a sitar.
