@@bretclay hahaha oh absolutely..that's what I have been doing..but being an NRI stayin in Europe, I didn't know I could invest in US Stocks, so apps like these are too good to be true..coz they are just so simple and user-friendly, minimum documentation and really easy use as I see..so currently I am watching this video of yours and researching more on Revolut and Trading 212, before I actually start investing. But just this moment when I discover that trading and investing can be so easy makes me happy!

Oh definitely, these apps are great for certain things, but also have limitations. Good for beginners though! In my opinion Revolut is better for US stocks and Trading 212 better for etf’s

@@bretclay in general I see lot of benefits stated for the 212, like charges per trade, the stock inventory , ETFs as you mentioned and the pieof ofcourse! So kinda confused now 😛

Trading212 has a much wider stock selection than Revolut. Love Revolut but it seems like they stopped adding more companies.

Can you transfer your investments directly from Revolut to Trading 212 or would you have to sell all your shares in Revolut and transfer the money?

You cannot transfer. You would need to sell and buy again - this is a massive downside to these apps

Hey Bret. Can you make a video about the thing that's happening now? I almost invested my money through this app. I really liked your videos and started to educate myself about investing and the 212 platform. But I've been reading people's experiences with these GameStop shenanigans, and it's really worrying how they are handling it. Buying and selling in a precise time is really key don't you think, and what I'm seeing people cant execute their orders for hours, even days. Can you please tell us from your standpoint what's happening? Hope your portfolio is ok

Yes! I’ll be uploading a video tomorrow talking about this! In response to your comment though, looks like you’re talking about day trading? I don’t recommend day trading for beginners. It’s safer to invest with long term targets

@@bretclay Thanks for the response. Can't w8 to hear your thoughts about it. What worries me by this example is that some kind of event happens because of the bubble in the market that's noticeable even to a newbie like me and you need to rebalance your portfolio and not being able because of their servers are under too much "stress". Just see what the people on Twitter are complaining about on the 212 profile. Not responding to emails, and no means to get into contact with the people who hold your money sounds so scary and stressful to me.

Currently only using Revolut at the moment but after watching this I’m definitely going to open a trading212 account, do you find it hard to keep track of multiple apps etc? I think that may be one problem for me of having different apps

Is that true that on revolut you can't withdraw funds from investing account for 2 days after finished trade?

I haven’t heard of this being an issue... you should be able to withdraw straight away

Yeaa u can’t withdraw the money, but however u can reinvest it. That’s all!

It does cost to deposit into an account if using a debit card ? I also think etoro is another great option.

No it doesn’t, but watch out for the limits - check within the app when depositing!
