One tip I learned for finding out if your ink cartridge is running out of ink is to weight it when full. Then check it from time to time.

It looked so much easier before I bought all the stuff, and sat down to do it! 🤦‍♀️ I got lost in the soaking of the cartridges, and blowing air in them. Then again with the test prints. I didn't even know you could do that! I'm a super novice with computers, I've tried most of my life, quite successfully I might add, to not have to deal with them in any capacity. I'll keep watching. I received my order a few days ago. We carefully followed the video & website instructions. But when it came time to fill the black ink, it was leaking profusely from the nozzle. We figured it could be from not removing the tape first and pressure being applied since it didn’t leak after we removed it. I had to do several print tests and cleanings and it’s now working great!

Yes the sponge holds the ink through capillary action, so that it doesn't just flow out.

Just drilling a little hole and fill with a syringe is still the simplest way to do it, the trick is do it before running out of ink, this way the flow of ink is not interrupted. Print regularly even when you have nothing to print, print anything, keep the wetness around those printing head :) Amazon has many refill kits, 5 X100ml bottles, 2 blacks with the colors at around 25$ cad. 500 ml is a lot of refills.

His method increases the chance of contamination with all the sanding, glue, and handling. I agree the small hole and needle method is simpler with less chance of printer damage.

what is the life time for the canon print head on this kind of canon cartridge? My experience with 645 black cartridge is around 1000 pages within 3 days. I simply drilled two holes to refill ink.

Purchased the kit from bch technologies and followed all procedures to remove the clog from the cartridge. Both black and color inks are printing good now, only problem is my black is spilling little ink from the print head at the top or sometimes bottom of the page when I take printout. If I remove and wipe the print head, it prints good. Is there a fix for this leakage?

When placing the tip onto the cart in the water there is a small amount of water between the two, and will cause color shifting. Place the syringe over the cart before placing in water each port test would be best

Guys you could just put on gloves after you place the scotch tape. If gloves are big they obviously make it uncomfortable to work with sticky tape.

Clog cartridges can be fix by putting it in a container with hot water 9-100 and leave it for 1 hour. then fill a syringe with hot water and insert the needle inside the cartridge holes then slowly inject water in it.... repeat until all the ink inside that's coming out is a little bit clearer.... I used this for my old cannon fine cartridges and it works amazing...

does this work with the Cannon TS3522 PG-275 CL-276? if so shoud i purchase the regular size/or XL cartridge first use it then purchase your kit then go from there I really love that pixma computer and i want to use it i bought a toner laser jet but certain mediums call for inkjet and the ecotank i purchase i dont want to put regular ink in it so i can use it for sublimation. this would be a god send if compatible with my printer. love your video even though the volume is not as loud i wass very attentative and intrigued by your methods and kit!!!

Hi Kevin, when you put pressure into the cartridge to unclog the head. Question why doesn't this keep pushing out the ink. When I took off my old cover and pored di water into the 3 tanks canon CL-561 and left over night the water had leaked out so why wont the ink ?? Kind Regards

I have been doing this before watching your video, this video got all the tricks! The only problem for me is that there are unbalance pressure of the modified cartridge, Ink will stop flowing after 10-20 pages of printing, need unplug the small rubber to make the ink flow again. Might be faulty of the single direction air valve

Hello, I'm not sure if I'll get an answer, but here goes. I have a Canon e4570 with a modified external ink tank, on the side of the machine. I do about 1200pages in black and my printer head has to be changed. Color head is changed at 1700 pages. Any reason why? Are the heads meant to be replaced often? Compared to the original once used cartridge, I believe that you could only ger 300pgs.

If the black ink cartridge was working fine and suddently it is showing horizontal lines but when you put it in a cup with water the ink comes out easily, what could be the reason for the print out to show horizontal lines? I already used the clip to pump the ink fromt he bottom of the cartridge with a seringe and the cartridge is spongeless.

If you soak the canon cartridge into water, let it dry for 3 hours if you don't want corrosion and break the cartridge because I learned it the hard way

I drilled 2mm holes on top into each color then used vented plugs. I pushed about 350 ml of black through the 245 before it got clogged. I refilled about 200 ml of ink in the original cartridge before clogging. I'm looking for another printer because it got damaged by a powerline spike, it doesn't do anything when I turn it on no motor noise just a power light. I want to try finding one that uses the same cartridge. I printed thousands of pages of heavy card stock for 4 years with it. The HP printer printed about 1/3 of that before it mechanically wore out.

sponge have only ink not wink and move lot in tank, same used formula 1 F1 car gasoline tank, because you print tank move fast alltime left to right and ink in tank wing and move lot, but add sponge not move, important have sponge in tank.

I only use virgin cartridges. Remanufactured cartridges are too risky.
