Yes this unit has an electric start option you can hook a battery up to.

Can you tell me where the battery ground wire is connected to the genertor? Mine seems to be missing the ground wire. I see the red wire but no ground.

If I remember correctly the ground wire mounted to the grounding stake. I set this generator up for a friend of mine who lives 5 hours away, otherwise I would just look at it. Sorry I couldn’t be of more assistance.

That is a first ,the only one that drive a ground stake in and hooked it up. The only thing that is wrong is that most grand rods are made from a brass alloy because it conducts elect current better. As far as my HF 8750 I installed a hr meter after 5 hrs of run time .I also have a 12 gal aux fuel tank which alowes me to run it with a 75percent load for 30 hrs without shutting it down . My next step is going to be a remote unit on my fuel guage. I have a 60 amp service in my home and this 8750 is big enough only we have gas heat and stove . Also got a what meter from HF it comes in handy.. My next venture is to bid on a MEP06 MILITARY GENERATOR.

daddy ramen I don’t remember if this generator had a pull start as well. I hooked it up for some friends more than a year ago. I’m sure if you called harbor freight, they might still have this model for sale for the specs. Hope this helped🙂

I used the oil that harbor freight sold for this generator. Was my friends generator so am not completely sure of the weight or type.

You can use 10W30 or 10W40 Plane 30 is good also for breaking.

Capo Construction good question. I set this up for a friend a couple years ago. I am not an electrician by any means and I don’t know why I would have 2 wires for ground.

You Don't have to use the Ground unless you have too.
