I find large swaths of linen by seeking out tablecloths. Very inexpensive too.

Ah yes they are great too! We don't have much linen tableclothes here sadly, they like plastic ones here 😅 Thanks for the tip!

My local thrift store doesn’t sell sewing items. Only furniture, books and ceramics. Fleamarkets in my area are mostly around childrens stuff. It would take months to collect everything for one project. Best wishes from Northern Germany.

Ahh that's a bummer! You can only do what you can do, of course.

@@angelicavis I‘m looking for natural materials from reponsible sources. That alone is hard work. 😓

Thank you good suggestions. I thrift much of my fabric that has been donated to our local Value Village. Many people buy fabric and don't use it all or just don't use it. I haven't tried curtains but will look at that thanks. I have once used a bedsheet but will never thrift one again after you pointed out the grossness. Very good video and I hope you do some more.

Haha oh noooo it wasn’t my intention to put people off 🙈🙈🙈 Good to hear you already thrift a lot of fabrics! We have enough fabrics already on this planet :) Thanks for watching!

What do you do with scraps afterwards?
@angelicavis3 ай бұрын
I usually keep them and use them for filling or sometimes smaller projects like pencil cases, wallets etc. :)

@@angelicavis thanks for the quick reply! I just got my vintage sewing machine last weekend and looking forward to starting! Greetings from Nijmegen :)
