Thank you! Lots of good information. I am going to look into the Pyganic pest control. I have used Neem oil and BT before. If those didn't work, I just pulled the plant or let the pests have at it. There is always more to learn with your content.

Yes try it!

I have had the same experience with Baker Creek. They don't germinate as well as other brands I've tried. I also was frustrated by the lack of information on many of the seed packets. My go-to seed company now is True Leaf Market. We grow a lot of Asian varieties and True Leaf bought the Kitizawa Seed company when the owners decided to retire and their children didn't want to take over the business. Before that, Kitizawa had been the oldest Asian seed company in the US. Everything I have bought from True Leaf has had a really good germination rate.

Ok that is good. I have heard good things about their seeds as well.

Hi Ms Barbara, love your videos. There is a ready to use Neem oil spray. I have used it, no burned plants as of yet

For those who are gardening on a budget, please know that you can also use recycled containers from having bought plants in the past, fruit trays, yogurt containers, etc., to start your seeds in. I totally agree with Barbara that the Bootstrap Farmer and Epic Gardening trays are beautiful and sturdy and long lasting, but they are pretty pricey and I just wanted to put it out there, that you don’t have to give up on gardening if you can’t afford those. Start with what you can afford.

Thanks for this series! This is my second year gardening. What do you find works best on aphids? Do you use insect netting?
@AGardenersJourneyHomestead10 күн бұрын
Neem oil and Pyganix work best for me with aphids. I have insect netting around my high tunnel but that does not prevent aphids in the summer because my tunnel doors are open. I do not use insect netting directly on plants in the summer but I do in the fall

Hi Barbara, What kind of soil do you use in your Greenstalk? I’m trying to find soil without sticks in it🥲🥲
