Is it necessary to go through NCERT text books first (VI - XII) for basic concepts regarding subjects like Polity, Economic s, History & Geography? Are NCERTs must?

No. I don't think it is necessary. I think what we have studied for our 10th board exam was enough for foundation and now can start from 11,12th NCERT.

Madam I am a bengali medium student, for this exam only English language's books are being suggested by those who has achieved success in this field. My question is , isn't there any bengali books for crack this exam?

My honest suggestion would be, if you don't have any problem reading and writing in english then go for english medium. Because finding good material especially on current affairs in bengali medium is difficult. Anyways, in case of bengali you would hv to refer to our state board's bengali medium text books.
