Summer is here! With the hot sweaty weather comes dehydration! Today I'm sharing some simple tips on how to stay hydrated this summer.
Mild dehydration (fluid loss of just 1-3%) can impair energy levels and mood. It leads to major reductions in memory and brain fog. It can also give you headaches.
The best way to prevent dehydration is to drink more water 2-3L per day. The following "counts" as water:
🍵Herbal tea
🍉Water with fruit or herbal infusions
🥥Coconut water
🍁Maple water
🫧Carbonated water with no added ingredients
🌰Homemade nut milk with no added sweetener or regular milk
🧃Sports drinks - read the ingredients and stay away from artificial sweeteners, flavouring and colour
