@@LorellaPlanBeeOrchardandFarm YES its so easy to get lost in all the projects on a homestead or farm... we are two years in and really just building everything because this property was abandoned for years so there was nothing but messes to clean up lol.

It is so hard to believe that you've been a homesteader for such a short time. You have so much knowledge already. I never tire of your videos and am always excited when I see you have a new one. My garden suffered this year also because of health reasons. but God willing I will have next year. We are never promised tomorrow but I always dream to improve. Keep teaching Lorella, you have a gift.

Yes dreaming is an important part of life. Sometimes we get so caught up in the day to day we forget to dream.

I lived on a community farm in west lothion scotland,i milked cows by hand sitting on a stool ,we drank the milk by putting a filter into a large jug ,i milked goats too that was in 1983 to 1984.

This is how I milk our goats. My grandparents had a large jersey farm and they milked this way growing up. No fancy milking machines.

Hey, Lorella, ooh I love you when you're in motivational mode! I saw one of your first videos and you were talking about not bothering what is behind you, just concentrate on getting the job in front of you done. Love it. Thank you for all the hints and tips. I have lost my mojo just now. I need to get outside and tidy and cover the beds ready for winter so my goal is to get out there one or two times this week, depending when the lovely Welsh rain - you know ALL about that - gives up a little. Last week I wrote my to do lists, I live my life by lists as it works for me. I decided to write one for the poly tunnel(pt), one for the polyhouse (ph) and one for outside as this made it easier to break down the tasks. One job from the ph may lead to getting one in the pt done, ie re potting something from the ph that I'm leaving in the pt over winter - win win! This I hope will deal with me feeling anxious about not knowing where to start, losing sleep and really aiming to get this outside stuff done so that in a couple of weeks I can concentrate on thing for the festive season - which I LOVE, thank you again for this video.xx

Breaking down tasks really does help! Let me know how it goes. I like that you are staying with jobs that can snowball into other jobs. Good thinking.

@@LorellaPlanBeeOrchardandFarm Hi! I just came inside, after being out for 3/4 of an hour before the rain! I emptied some compost bags that were used for now finished courgettes and put that on the pt beds, more to do but happy so far. I also took up some failed turnips and used the leaves to compost down after I'd started weeding one of the beds, thanks to @acrehomestead for that tip, I think Becky used squash leaves. Happy with what I did. Hope you're having a good day. ❤️
